Saint Petersburg State Forest Technical University hosted a winter school for students and staff of the Northeast Forestry University (Harbin, China) from 2 to 8 of December.
As part of the tour, the participants got familiar with the main projects of SPbFTU and visited the park and greenhouse of the Botanical Garden of it. Representatives of both universities discussed about possibility of co-operation and exchanged information about cultural peculiarities of the countries. The programme of the school also included excursions to the sights of Saint Petersburg. The participants visited the Hermitage, Peter the Great Botanical Garden, Catherine Palace and Lisinsky Educational and Experimental Forestry.
The results of the programme were summarized at the closing ceremony of the winter school. Svetlana Tereshchenko, Head of International Cooperation Department, expressed gratitude to the participants and invited them to visit Saint Petersburg as part of the SPbFTU Summer School.
Students from the Northeast Forestry University presented their presentations on the results of winter school activities. Alexandra Kupryanova, Associate Professor of the Landscape Architecture Department, highly appreciated the work done by the students during the excursion days.
Alexander Kryukovsky, Director of Institute of Landscape Architecture, Construction and Woodworking, presented a certificate about passing the winter school to each member.
