On behalf of the governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Yuryevich Drozdenko, the first deputy chairman of the Committee for Natural Resources of the Leningrad Region, Oleg Ivanovich Batishchev, congratulated the students and teaching staff of the University on the beginning of the academic year.
The students were greeted by: Rector of St. Petersburg State Forest Technical University - Irina Albertovna Melnichuk; Head of the Department of Forestry in the North-West Federal District - Sergey Shtrakhov; Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy and Cooperation with Public Organizations of St. Petersburg - Oleg Igorevich Polishchuk.
Creative student groups took part in the concert program prepared by the Department of Educational Work and Youth Policy.
The first-year students took the Oath. The celebration ended with the University anthem «FTA, FTU", the first group photos and the first organizational meetings.
